Dr. Young is not currently a participant in any insurance program. Out-of-pocket fees and rates are listed below.
After a visit invoice has been paid, you can send a Portal message directly to the Psych Coordinator asking to generate a “Superbill” that contains the visit’s diagnosis codes. Then, you can submit the Superbill to your health insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Please note that a coordinator-created “Superbill” is different from an automatically-generated “Invoice.” Insurance companies will only accept the Superbill when considering a reimbursement.
An “Invoice” is essentially a receipt that does not include a line item of what you paid for, just that you paid it. The “Superbill” includes the diagnoses codes you paid to be seen for, and because of that, they are confidential. With protecting your confidentiality in mind, the Charm EHR only allows us to manually generate Superbills upon your request.
Fees:
2-hour Psychiatric Initial Visit: $600
60-min Psychiatric Follow-up Visit: $300
30-min Psychiatric Follow-up Visit: $175
2-hour Family Session: $600
60-min Family Session: $300
30-min Parent Session: $175
Rates:
Some time-intensive tasks taking over 10-min outside of visits may acquire a prorated charge based on a $300/hour rate, as they add up quickly and can be all-consuming! Tasks that may accrue a prorated charge include but are not limited to:
Completing a form
Formulating a letter or report
Reviewing records
Collaborating on care via phone or email with other physicians, providers, therapists, family members, insurance, hospital, ER, etc.
Performing an insurance company’s prior authorization
Providing patient care on a phone call
Receiving and responding to extensive or frequent Charm Portal messages
Participating in meetings with school, community service board, care team, or other team member
****Note: The time it takes outside of a visit to document an encounter is not charged a fee.
Late Cancellations, No Shows, and After Hours:
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice and No Shows will be billed the full session charge.
After-hours calls or requested care on weeknights, weekends, or holidays may acquire a time-and-a-half prorated charge of $450/hr.
Please note that most tasks performed outside of visits that require a fee, as well as no-show/late-cancellation fees, are not reimbursed by insurance companies.
Court Fees:
Please note that there is a flat $2000 per day fee, plus an hourly rate ($300/hour)for all time involved including preparation and travel, for any appearance or testimony in court, depositions, administrative hearings, board reviews, or other court-related involvement, regardless of whether it was requested by you or ordered by a court, board, government agency or other legal authority. If a subpoena is issued for involvement in a parental custody dispute, the parent who signed the pre-intake policy consent form acknowledging the court fees will be financially responsible.
Please note that I do not perform custody evaluations. It is outside of my scope of practice to provide comment, opinion, or assessment regarding parental custody.
I strongly advise against parents involving me in court proceedings regarding the parental custody of my minor patient. I prioritize the minor patient’s trust in our confidential patient-physician relationship as it helps me help them stay safe. Providing court testimony can fracture their trust in our relationship, which can unacceptably increase the risk of them withholding future life-threatening information from this physician. The consequences of that fractured trust can be devastating and should be prevented at all costs. To therefore mitigate the risk to their safety, I will need to terminate our patient-physician relationship directly after any court involvement due to the potential for fractured trust.
